This means not only ensuring that all terminology and characters feel consistent between both games, but also implementing features to further enhance the experience-such as battle subs! As we make progress on Tales of Destiny 2 and bring that patch closer to completion, more resources will be allocated to Tales of Destiny DC.

That’s right! In addition to a full patch for Tales of Destiny 2, we’re also working on Tales of Destiny Director’s Cut! While we are much further along with Tales of Destiny 2, we’re committed to giving Tales of Destiny Director’s Cut the same amount of care. Tales of Destiny: Director’s Cut is on the way as well! Of course, Tales of Destiny 2 isn’t the only facet of the Lumina Destiny project… In the meantime, you can find many more preview images from the PSP build of the patch at the end of this post! We’ll be sure to keep everyone updated on our progress. Once we reach 100% completion of the editing and proofreading, we will have a closed beta playtest, to ensure the game is free of bugs, crashes, and typos. While we don’t have a date to announce quite yet, we’re very excited to say that 75% of all text in the game (including what we added for those extra subtitles!) has been translated, and 20% of the overall text has been edited and proofread.
Please keep an eye out for future blog posts, where we’ll discuss these features, as well as our translation and editing process in greater detail! We’ve also taken the time to adjust the game’s skit text from a horizontal scroll to the more standardized subtitles players are familiar with. Font Select: You can choose between a pixel font that is more optimal for the smaller resolutions of the PSP and Vita or a hi-res font that is optimized for PS2 hardware and emulators.Skit Indicators: The game will now inform you on-screen when new skits become available.Subtitles: Battles, victory screens and anime cutscenes will all be fully subtitled. We’ll be going into more detail about the implementation of these features in future posts, but here’s some of what you can expect to see in the Lumina Tales patch:

Many features fans of the series have come to know and love were not present in the release of Tales of Destiny 2, so we’ve taken the time to add some customizable options in order to let every player tailor the experience to their liking. However, it’s not just the text that is getting a coat of polish we intend to enhance the gameplay experience itself as well. Text and display are still in development and subject to change. All Tales of Destiny 2 screenshots are from the PSP build of the game.
